Computer models used by meteorologists as a guidance tool in the weather analysis and forecast process. While there have significant improvements in the forecast skill of numerical forecast models, they are strictly used as guidance and will not necessarily depict what the actual state of the atmosphere will be at a given point in time. Human interpretation is still required for using computer models in the weather forecast process.
